Academic Center for Enrichment

The Sophomore Personal Project is an opportunity for students to choose and guide their own learning through a learning experience of their own design. This is a requirement of every MVC Sophomore and is the last culminating experience before entering the DP. The SPP is a chance for Sophomores to show what they can do on their own and to celebrate together at the Spring Exhibition. While this project does not affect overall GPA, it is recorded as a credit on the MVC transcript and is recognized by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Completion of the SPP shows both leadership and commitment within the academic experience. Those who score at least a 7 in both writing and presentation will receive a distinguished mark of "honors" on the transcript.
